General Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining and processing driver qualification activities critical to federal and state regulatory compliance along with Equipment and DOT regulations. Accountable for DMV processes to ensure the company maximizes equipment value and utilization as well as complies with all licensing requirements. Coordinates closely with operations and area personnel to obtain information and identify needs to ensure full regulatory compliance.Essential Job Responsibilities:Serves as the administrator for ELD software system and implements updates/changes, new features, releases, and training opportunities. This includes ordering devices and providing support to field employees. Implements and monitors compliance with Hours-of-Service regulations, ELD usage, pre/post trip inspections, and DVIR reviews. Maintains fleet licensing, titling and registrations and all administrative tasks related to general fleet, DOT and equipment filing, including assigning equipment rental numbers and tracking and cleanup of AMP files. Provides support to Equipment and operations to allow for timely and efficient administration of all equipment purchased, rentals, sales and vehicle licensing.Orders MVR and/or PSP records to ensure prospective and current employees are legally qualified to drive. Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of DOT files, including regular audits of driver qualification files; collecting required/updated documentation as necessary. Responds to DOT verification of employment requests.Ensures that all training materials are up to date, necessary supplies are available and that inventories are secured and kept up to date. Monitors probationary drivers periodically to ensure they maintain state and federal compliance.Collects data and files IFTA reporting, and other state required fuel/mileage taxes. Assists DOT Compliance Manager with any other tasks as assigned.Typical work schedule is 6am - 3pm

Education and Experience:Associate's degree preferred or equivalent work experience3+ years' experience in DOT or Fleet administration preferred3+ years' experience with DMV processes preferred3+ years administrative experience

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:Familiarity with FMCSA requirementsPossess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other support tools as deemed appropriate.) ·Ability to work in a diverse and fast paced environment with flexibilityAttention to detail and accurate processing of dataGood organization skillsAbility to communicate with diverse groups/individualsPossibility of limited travels.

Base Salary Range: 

$59,320.00 - $88,979.00

Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.  ​
