Equipment Deployment Technician

A financial company in the Irving, TX area is looking to bring on an Equipment Deployment Technician to join their team on a contract to hire basis.
The function of this position is to ensure the completion of a project to replace check scanning devices at the company storefront locations. This role is responsible for communications to stores and leadership regarding the progress of the project, shipping and receiving equipment, coordinating dispatches to install and configure replacement devices, and remanufacturing or recycling returning equipment to the company corporate office.
They are ideally looking for candidates having some experience with PC based hardware and Windows OS, a plus for any experience with POS equipment including hardware testing and troubleshooting. It is essential to have excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding phone etiquette is a must as you will be communicating with branchesĀ and colocations regarding equipment. There is also opportunity for growth in this position.
Contract Duration: Through 2025 with opportunity for conversion to full hire.
Desired Skills & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of PC hardware, building and troubleshooting, operating systems (Window NT) and related utilities Excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding phone etiquette is a must Previous experience with retail hardware\software deployment projects is preferred Experience with hardware testing and repair of Point of Sale (POS) systems or their peripheral devices is a plus. Microsoft O365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) experience is a plus Any FedEx WorldShip, FMAudit Onsite, HP WebJet Administration is a plus
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities Create shipments to and from company stores containing equipment relevant to the project. Track shipments and communicate delivery estimates or changes to stores and field\IT leadership. Receive and test all equipment returning to the Corporate Office. Clean, repair, and remanufacture all equipment returning to the Corporate Office. Process recycling orders for end of life\broken\damaged equipment. Report on overall project progress at daily\weekly intervals. Log and tag all equipment using company asset tracking tools and processes.
