In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing processes, instrumentation, and equipment from our R&D phase through prototypes, and into plant and manufacturing scale-up. Your expertise in engineering, design, process, and scale-up will be crucial to our success.

The Opportunity

Manufacturing Process Development: Design and implement processes, instrumentation, and equipment from R&D to full-scale production.

Expertise and Problem Solving: Provide specialized knowledge in process and equipment problem-solving to assist manufacturing operations.

Process Technology Improvement: Develop and recommend new process technologies to enhance cost-effectiveness and product quality.

Production Recommendations: Suggest processes for the production of diagnostic products.

Equipment Specifications: Establish operating equipment specifications and improve manufacturing techniques.

Departmental Collaboration: Interface with various departments to ensure compatibility of processes and designs for new product technology transfer.

Future Technology Integration: Establish future processes and equipment automation technologies.

Automated Control Systems: Apply specialized knowledge in automated control systems, including vision systems, PLC programming, motion control, and communication.

Research and Development: Engage in research, analysis, and solution development for complex and varied engineering challenges.

Strategic Direction: Provide direction on specialized issues and assist department leadership in setting strategic directions.

Quality System Maintenance: Maintain and continuously improve the quality system, achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

Who You Are

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely related scientific/technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Relevant Experience: Experience in manufacturing, process/equipment development, R&D/product development in an FDA or similarly regulated industry. Advanced technical degrees can be considered as relevant experience.

Automated Control Systems Knowledge: Prior experience in automated control system design, including vision systems, PLC programming, motion control, and communication.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is $65,500 - $121,600.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
