Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
We're looking for an outstanding Equipment Maintenance technician specializing in Preventative Maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment: Ovens, Thermal chambers, vacuum systems, process piping, liquid nitrogen and building systems.
Key job responsibilities
- Installing Industrial equipment and machinery
- Bring-up and Troubleshooting of equipment
- Maintaining and preventative maintenance activities
- Machine commissioning and trouble-shooting
- Maintain Facilities Workshop
- Support mechanical activities as required.
- Troubleshooting and Maintaining industrial equipment and machinery in production and development environments
- Installation of custom equipment and commissioning
- Work directly with engineering teams on design feedback, project execution and commissioning
- Maintain Facilities work area
- Support development and production teams as required at multiple locations/sites
Export Control Requirement:

Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $37/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A day in the life
This position will work side by side with Engineering and Production teams to develop creative solutions to support and maintain production equipment.

Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- At least 2 years working experience with installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining specialty industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- With or without reasonable accommodations, must be willing and able to work with powered lift equipment – for example forklift or scissor lifts.
- Valid Driver’s license and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria.
- With or without reasonable accommodations, must be able to lift up to 49 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with Thermal chambers, vacuum systems and refrigeration systems.
- Familiar with Liquid nitrogen systems and safety protocols using Liquid Nitrogen.
- Familiar installing and building up solutions using various types of fittings: NPT, Swagelock, Push to connect, water fittings.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,640/year in our lowest geographic market up to $83,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
