PURPOSE:
Responsible for the prompt minor repairs and ongoing preventative maintenance of material handling equipment
Shift time is 6am-2:30pm
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Job Responsibilities Percentage
Provide recommendations to repair or replace poorly functioning
equipment 10%
Efficiently prioritizes repair schedule to ensure an uninterrupted
production schedule 10%
Troubleshoot equipment problems to include brake, electrical and
hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety
issues and/or malfunctions. 10%
Provide improvements required to ensure compliance to safety
regulationsto DC and safety team 10%
Ensure that department is appropriately stocked with part and tools
needed to perform their job 10%
Undertakes actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc, on
equipment for preventive maintenance purposes 10%
Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order
replacement parts for major repairs 10%
Modifies and tests equipment to improve systems uptime and
reliability 10%
Updates and reviews daily maintenance logs 10%
Follows all safety policies and procedures strictly 10%

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
• High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience
• 2-3 years of technical maintenance or related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education, experience and
training
Experience:
• 1-2 years of on-the-job experience with electronics and mechanical equipment
• Machining and fabrication experience helpful
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
• Understanding of Safety guidelines
• Able to read and understand blueprints and technical reference manuals.
• Understanding of equipment operation and maintenance procedures
• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work well independently
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
• Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37
degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation
• Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.
• Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
• Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to
perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and
ability to adjust focus.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
