Specializing in precision machining and metal fabrication, our Sanmina Newark, California facility has 15 years of experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology and oil & gas markets.  We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities:  from in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers to machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms.  We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters.  Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing.  We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-nonferrous and other exotic alloys .   Job Purpose: Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and minor machinery repairs. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, plumbing, etc.)  Perform other tasks as assigned. Skill set should include basic office skills. Order parts, supplies and maintain required documents. Schedules vendors and related work. Mechanical / Machine repair experience is a plus. Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes and recommendations Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools. Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.). Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.). Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks. Performs other work related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience. Requires High School Diploma.  Good oral and written communication skills a must.  Good PC skills using Excel, Word and internet. Able to work on assignments complex in nature. Capable of working independently with little or no direction. Able to work in a team environment and has a stable work history. Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision. Must have a great understanding of Pneumatics & Hydraulics. Follow safety rules and regulations. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Must have excellent problem solving and organization skills. Ability to stand for long hours and some heavy lifting. Conduct preventive maintenance ( a must ). Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality. Detest malfunctions through observation. Perform emergency repairs. Monitor and report on project progress. Must have a great attitude  Performs other work related duties as assigned.
