We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Mechanic specializing in Preventative Maintenance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial equipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, as well as a passion for ensuring optimal equipment performance in production and development environments.

Key job responsibilities
- Equipment Installation: Install industrial equipment and machinery with precision and adherence to specifications.
- Equipment Bring-Up and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues during equipment setup and operation.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance to ensure long-term reliability and performance.
- Machine Commissioning: Oversee commissioning processes and provide troubleshooting support as needed.
- Facilities Workshop Maintenance: Manage and maintain the workshop to ensure it is fully operational and organized.
- Custom Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of custom-built equipment.
- Production and Development Support: Provide mechanical support to production and development teams as required.
A day in the life
This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position, and you’ll work with leaders in multiple technology areas. You’ll have relentlessly high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve your product’s performance specifically preventative maintenance activities. We want individuals who are ready for this challenge and want to reach beyond what is possible today.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- At least 1 years working experience with installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintaining industrial controls equipment in a manufacturing environment focused on preventative maintenance activities.
- Must be willing and able to work with powered lift equipment – ie, forklift and boom lifts >100'
- Valid Driver’s license and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria.
- Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Able to obtain and maintain a US Passport & must meet customs entry requirements to include but not limited to: Yellow Fever vaccine and other immunization requirements as recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
- Ability to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year working in a manufacturing environment focused on preventative maintenance programs.
- Experience with industrial electrical systems including preventative maintenance focus.
- Motor wiring, bring-up, tuning, commissioning and troubleshooting including Variable Frequency Drives and Servo Control.
- Experience with industrial controls equipment including pneumatic and mechanical movements
- Familiar with general electrical safety practices such as lock-out / tag-out, PPE, etc for system up to 480 VAC
- Cross-organizational communication – comfortable in both verbal and written forms.
