Job Description: We are seeking a skilled equipment mechanic to join our team. This role involves specializing in maintenance and repair of various rental equipment, as well as delivering, setting up, tearing down, and performing maintenance on all rental equipment. Initially, there will be no travel required, but after training, you will travel around the Chicagoland area and a little around the US.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare, inspect, and operate machines prior to delivery.Deliver and pick up equipment, set up/tear down on job sites, and obtain necessary signatures.Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the facilities and work area, including company vehicles.Perform preventative maintenance tasks, service, and maintain equipment sold and/or owned.Complete paperwork accurately and maintain records of hours worked, accounts serviced, and administrative time.Essential SkillsTroubleshooting and repairing diesel engines.Ability to read repair manuals and schematic diagrams.Mechanical aptitude including knowledge of hydraulics, electrical wiring, and machine assembly.Proficiency with hand and power tools.Ability to operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, skid steers, and forklifts safely.Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.Why Work Here?

Work EnvironmentFirst shift (7am-3:30pm) with the possibility of 5-10 hours of overtime depending on workload.Large property with three buildings housing offices, warehouses, and a shop for generator work.Work both indoors and outdoors year-round, moving between buildings to pick orders.Team consists of approximately 15 rental business employees and 7 technicians, with more in the office.Training provided by experienced technicians.Dress code requires steel-toe boots, long pants, and a work shirt.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00
