To thrive as a Warehouse Equipment Operator, you must have a commitment to safety. You will safely operate a forklift or reach truck in the distribution center to either load and unload products from inbound and outbound trailers or to stock and rotate inventory.
Each day, you will be responsible for routine maintenance and operation of a forklift with a slip-sheet attachment, reach truck (up to 35 feet), or a rider jack to load and unload product from the dock or to down stock, re-stock, and rotate dated product. You will use a scanner gun or wand to inspect shipments and detect any errors or defects as well as document any discrepancies. Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as you will be responsible for rotating product by stock number and placing it on the correct shelf and in the correct aisle. In addition, you will perform routine quality inspections on inventory and report any possible damages, shortages, or errors.
Here’s what we’re looking for from you:
A commitment to safety. We are very proud of our safety record and want you to be a part of that. You will be required to wear proper safety equipment, including steel toed shoes and safety glasses at all times.
Attend training. You won’t be able to operate warehouse equipment until you are fully trained. You will begin with a lot of safety training and other equipment training.
Attention to detail. You must pay close attention to stock numbers, find defects in inventory, and be careful of your surroundings to accurately move product.
Education. A high school diploma or GED is required. Knowledge of basic math is also required.
Some experience operating a forklift, reach truck, slip-sheet attachment, or rider jack is required.
Here’s what we offer you:
Warehouse Equipment Operators start at $20.50/hr. Team members will receive a $1/hr increase at 6 months of employment and another $1/hr increase at one year of employment.
All off shifts also receive a $3/hr shift differential.
