**Job Title: Equipment Operator 2nd Shift** **Job Description** We are a family-owned fabrication shop seeking a dedicated individual to join our 2nd shift team as an Equipment Operator. The primary responsibility of this role is running our beam line, and the ideal candidate will have previous experience with fabrication machines such as brake, laser, punch, and turret. You will also assist with moving materials using a forklift or overhead crane to support the fabricators. **Responsibilities** + Operate fabrication equipment including brake, laser, punch, and turret machines. + Assist in moving materials with a forklift or overhead crane. + Read and interpret blueprints. + Ensure precise measurements using a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch. + Provide support in metal fabrication, finishing, and shop help. + Prepare trucks for loading, working both indoors and outdoors as needed. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience in setting up and operating fabrication equipment. + Ability to read blueprints. + Mechanical aptitude. + Attention to detail. + Proficiency in using a tape measure. + Experience with forklift operation. + Experience with overhead crane operation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous beam line experience within a structural steel shop. **Why Work Here?** We are a family-owned company offering significant growth opportunities within the organization. This role involves working both indoors and outdoors, so candidates must be comfortable with varying weather conditions. The 2nd shift hours are from 2:30 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
