We are currently seeking experienced safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join the team at Williamson Couty Transfer Station, Hutto TX. Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge plus, but willing to train the right candidate.

The position is a Day Shift working Monday through Friday 6am-6pm with occasional Saturdays working 45-55 hours a week.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

The work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Experience driving excavator, and rearload, or articulated dump truck

Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment used at facility

Must become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily

Able to work outside in all weather conditions

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly
