You’re a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Operator with extensive experience handling a variety of heavy machinery to support construction, maintenance, and operational tasks. You excel in operating equipment such as loaders, excavators, bulldozers, and forklifts with precision and efficiency, ensuring projects are completed on time and to specification. What You'll Do
In the role of Equipment Operator, your duties will include:

Receive and Follow Directions: Report to the Foreman or General Foreman to receive daily assignments, instructions, and directions.

Operate Equipment: Safely operate designated machinery and equipment, which may include a bus, semi-truck, skid steer, warehouse forklifts, front-end loader, bulldozer, motor grader, K-Loader, scraper, roller, or tractor.

Maintain Safety Standards: Strictly adhere to all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

Perform Routine Checks: Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly before use.

Report Equipment Issues: Promptly report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to ensure equipment is always in good operating condition.

Document Operations: Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.

Adapt to Various Duties: Be flexible and ready to perform various other duties and activities as directed by the Foreman or General Foreman.

Ensure Cleanliness and Order: Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the equipment and the surrounding work area to promote safety and efficiency.

Participate in Training: Engage in ongoing training and certifications as required to stay updated on safety protocols and equipment operation standards.

Assist in Site Preparation and Cleanup: Help prepare and clean up sites before and after operations to ensure that workspaces are organized and safe.

Other duties as required.

Requirements:

Must have a US Secret or an Australian NV-1 clearance.

Experience in Equipment Operation: Prior experience operating the relevant types of light and/or heavy machinery, typically at least 2-5 years, depending on the complexity of the equipment.

Maintenance Knowledge: Understanding of basic maintenance and troubleshooting for the equipment operated.

Certified Equipment Operator: Certification for specific equipment (such as forklift, frontend loader, or other heavy machinery) is required.

Desired Qualifications:

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL): Required for operating larger vehicles such as buses and semi-trucks, depending on job requirements.

This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.  This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
