Job Title: Asphalt Operator \#### Job Description We are seeking dedicated and experienced Roller, Paver, and/or Screed Operators to join our team. The primary role involves operating paving machines to spread and level hot mix paving material on various surfaces, ensuring smooth and durable pavement. Our company values growth and development, offering room for advancement into finishing or supervisory roles for those who demonstrate dedication and skill. \#### Responsibilities - Operate paving machines to spread and level hot mix paving material accurately and efficiently. - Inspect the prepared area before paving to ensure proper base conditions and smooth operation. - Mix and spread materials evenly to achieve a consistent and high-quality finish. - Maintain the correct speed and line of travel during paving to ensure uniformity and precision. - Clean and maintain paving equipment to ensure it is in excellent working condition. - Alert supervisors to any repair needs or potential issues with the equipment to prevent downtime and ensure safety. \#### Essential Skills and Qualifications - **4+ years of asphalt experience**: Proven experience working with asphalt and operating paving machinery. - **Physical ability**: Capability to perform heavy lifting and handle physically demanding tasks. - **Equipment operation**: Experience as a screed operator, roller operator, or paver operator, with knowledge of equipment maintenance and safety protocols. - **Attention to detail**: Ability to maintain focus and precision during operation to ensure high-quality results. - **Problem-solving skills**: Ability to identify and address potential issues with equipment or paving processes effectively. \#### Job Type & Location This is a **Contract to Hire** position based out of **Colorado Springs, Colorado**.
