Job Title: Equipment Operator
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Equipment Operator responsible for operating equipment such as forklifts, backhoes, and front-end loaders in the shipyard. The role involves moving mixed products, turning piles, and preparing organic mixes. The candidate must be flexible and willing to handle various tasks, including equipment operation, cleaning, and material handling up to 50 lbs.

ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts, backhoes, and front-end loaders in the shipyard.Move mixed products and turn piles to ensure proper segregation.Prepare organic mixes and push piles.Perform light clean-up duties, including sweeping and cleaning equipment.Handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.Climb ladders and work on their feet for most of the day.Essential SkillsExperience operating backhoes, front-end loaders, forklifts, and skid loaders for 2-3 years.High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to work in a dusty and non-climate controlled environment.Capability to lift 50 lbs and work on their feet for extended periods.Additional Skills & Qualifications3+ years of experience with heavy equipment operation will be highly advantageous.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a non-climate controlled industrial production facility. The role involves working both inside the warehouse and outside in the shipping yard. Candidates must be comfortable with dusty and hot conditions. This is a tobacco-free zone, and the use of tobacco products is only allowed off the property.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pacific Junction, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
