**Job Title: Equipment Operator - 1st Shift** **Job Description** As a 1st Shift Equipment Operator at our new Plant #5, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various fabrication equipment, including Laser, Plasma, Tube Plasma, Brake Press, and Tube Bending equipment. This role also involves moving materials with a forklift or overhead crane to assist fabricators. This position offers the opportunity for technical growth within a family-owned company. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate Laser, Plasma, Tube Plasma, Brake Press, and Tube Bending equipment. + Move materials using a forklift or overhead crane. + Assist fabricators with various tasks. + Ensure precise measurements using a tape measure down to 1/16. + Read and interpret blueprints accurately. + Maintain attention to detail and mechanical aptitude. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience in setting up and operating fabrication equipment. + Proficiency in using a tape measure down to 1/16. + Ability to read blueprints. + Strong mechanical aptitude. + Experience with forklift and overhead crane operations. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with metal fabrication, finishing, and saw operation. **Why Work Here?** Join a family-owned company with significant growth opportunities. The environment can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer, as duties include both indoor and outdoor tasks. 1st shift hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday, typically extending to 4:00 pm. Occasionally, overtime may be required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
