Primary Responsibilities:
The Operator’s primary role is to safely and effectively operate heavy equipment for the installation of underground utilities. Additional duties may be required to support the crew as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous operator experience is required. Experience with backhoes and/or mini excavators is a plus. Preferred: Experience in construction or utility distribution industries (Communication). Required: 3+ years of experience operating excavation equipment in the utility industry. Ability to read standards and schematics, with strong technical thinking skills.Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds. Continuous standing, walking on uneven surfaces, stooping, kneeling, crouching, speaking, and hearing are required.Work Environment:
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including wet, humid, cold, or hot environments. Frequent exposure to loud noise and traffic in the work area.Additional Requirements:
Willingness to work overtime based on workload demands. Compliance with company and Federal Department of Transportation (FMSCA or PHMSA) drug testing policies is mandatory for pre-employment and ongoing random testing. Our company maintains a drug-free workplace.Benefits:
