Equipment Operator - High Reach/Order Picker/Turret Truck/Walkie Rider
Monday to Friday - Full Time Position, Morning Shifts ONLY

To assist with all receiving, processing, shipping, returns and inventory operations in the Distribution Centre: unloading/loading by Powered MHE and/or by hand, lifting, scanning, sorting, picking, packing, labelling and checking stock as required. To ensure the Distribution Centre operates with optimum precision and efficiency. Working within all areas of the warehouse depending on the business requirement: Receiving, Processing, Shipping, Inventory Control and Returns.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

Work under supervision and direction of department Supervisor and team leadHelp to efficiently carry out all Distribution Centre tasks with the use of Powered MHEFollow all policies and procedures related to powered equipment, including inspections, safety checks, routine maintenance and trainingScan and track incoming and outgoing ordersReceive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documentsInspect receivables for defects, damages or missing itemsProperly scan and inventory incoming goodsPerform detailed manual inventory counts as requiredLabel warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrievalPick , prepare, package and label goods for shipmentDouble-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing ordersLoad and unload product to and from trailers and containers by using Powered MHEs and/or manuallyKeep workplace clean and tidy (general housekeeping)Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working orderReport any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper managementFollow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations at all timesWear protective clothing and equipment as requiredWork with other Distribution Centre team members to effectively complete assigned tasksOther duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ability and certification to operate Powered MHEs i.e. Order Picker, Turret Truck, Reach Truck, Clamp Truck, walkie rider and ForkliftAbility to lift up to 50lbs repetitivelyAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent attention to detailAbility to follow precise verbal and written instructionsGood organizational skillsMust be able to read, write, speak and receive instruction and directions in EnglishMust be eligible to work in Canada

$23.00 an hour
