Job Description

The Equipment Operator/Maintenance Technician is responsible for operating various types of heavy

machinery, including forklifts and bobcats, to facilitate the recycling process. This role requires hands-on

experience in equipment operation and maintenance, with a focus on performing entry-level preventive

maintenance (PM) and basic repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate equipment such as forklifts, bobcats, banding machines, industrial shredders, andconveyor belts to ensure the smooth processing of recyclable materials.Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on machinery, including but not limited to:Changing filters and lubricating equipment.Performing PM tasks and keeping detailed records.Utilizing grease guns and checking fluid levels.Assist with entry-level mechanical tasks, including hydraulic system checks and minoradjustments.Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols and ensuringequipment is used and stored properly.Collaborate with other team members to monitor and improve production efficiency.

Work Experience
Proven experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment, with the ability to performbasic maintenance and troubleshooting.Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulics and maintenance tools such as grease guns.Ability to perform routine maintenance, such as changing filters and performing PM tasks.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe, organized workspace.High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in mechanics or maintenanceis a plus.Ability to work well in a team and follow detailed instructions.
