Summary :The Equipment Processing Technician performs proper cleaning techniques on all home medical equipment. Performs basic testing functions of medical equipment to ensure equipment is working properly. Maintains adequate supplies and equipment through ongoing monitoring of inventory.

Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Performs proper cleaning techniques on all rental equipment in accordance with department policy and regulatory agency requirements. 2. Practices safe procedures to ensure equipment readiness and compliance with regulatory standards. 3. Completes documentation related to manufacturer and regulatory standards on time and accurately using electronic maintenance system. 4. Collaborates with multiple disciplines to effectively and efficiently ensure equipment standards are met. 5. Maintains a clean and orderly equipment return area to ensure safety and quality standards are met. QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or GED • Experience in healthcare, infection control, or related field • WI driver’s license PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance • Job classification may be exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties • May be exposed to electrical, mechanical, chemical, and radiation hazards; therefore, personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Normally works in climate controlled warehouse environment • Frequent sitting with movement throughout warehouse space • Frequent bending, leaning, and twisting throughout the day • Use of computers throughout the work day • Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingers
