The Equipment Specialist drives and operates hydraulic picker or stake bed while collecting heavy brush and loads by hand when necessary. Maintains the Baytown Green Center and participates in operations. Duties + Operates and maintains brush or stake bed by checking oil and gas every morning and refueling and adding oil as necessary. + Drives and operates brush or stake bed. Loads by hand when necessary. + Performs personnel related duties including training and coaching. + Maintenance of grounds. Mowing, weed eating, sweeping, picking up trash, cleaning around containers and all landscaping maintenance. + Performs all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required: + High school diploma or GED equivalent (GED). + Six months related experience. + Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (must obtain TX driver’s license within 90 days). + Valid State of Texas Class "B" Commercial Driver’s License, or must be obtained within six months of date in position. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to operate and maintain all types of equipment used in collection of brush. Ability to get along appropriately with co workers and the public.
