If you are an Equipment Specialist looking for an exciting role working with industry leaders, look no further!  Black Box is hiring a Data Center Equipment Specialist as part of our strategic growth initiative to work with our customer, Meta - the largest social media giant in the world.

The Equipment Specialist order, tracks and ensures our crews have working equipment and tools they need.   Supervises and performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in identifying, ordering and maintaining the equipment and tools.  Provides internal and external customer service and support through a ticketing system, email, phone calls, etc. 

Essential Functions are:

Safety is our Priority. Follow Safe Work Practices that conform with the Company’s Safety Program and client worksite policies ensuring that every person on the team Stays Accident Free Every-day. Promote company Core Values to foster and safeguard Company culture. Identify vendors and availability for equipment and tools requested. Negotiate pricing with vendors for equipment purchase and rentals. Maintain a tracker of all equipment and tools along with tracking calibration dates for equipment. Oversee the calibration of equipment to ensure crews have enough because of equipment to stay on schedule. Routinely inspect all the equipment and tools to ensure the crews are maintaining the equipment to the standards needed. Oversee the return of equipment upon the completion of the use of that equipment.  Provide support to the Warehouse Specialist to help with material deliveries and to cover for them when they are out.  Perform cycle counts on a daily, weekly basis to ensure inventory level accuracy and physical inventory yearly Interacts with customer contacts, business partners, and internal staff to resolve Sales Order issues to meet shipment dates Process all related reports including Fixed Bin Replenishment, MAC/Service Errors, Open PO, Reservation Errors and others as needed and directed Verify physical inventory for purchase orders or RMAs (returns) and communicate discrepancies to customer service or purchasing agent.

Need for Success:

Demonstrated professionalism and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others. Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude. Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service skills. Ability to effectively present to groups of various sizes. Disciplined, detail oriented, organized, and self-driven. Demonstrated skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Proficient in using a computer and business / industry applications - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.), Bluebeam, Procore, Textura and others. Ability to stand on your feet all day and to be able to lift up to 25 lbs

 Education/Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma, or equivalent 2-5 years of warehouse experience and inventory knowledge Safety training and certificates and EPA/Hazmat Training may be required

 Education/Experience Requirements: - on project site daily in Jeffersonville, IN.
