**Description**
**Essential Functions**
+ Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”
+ Actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”
+ Work directly with field foreman, project managers and the Operations Manager to schedule tools and equipment.
+ Ensure that all shipping/receiving is done effectively to promote efficiency.
+ Advise management of potential equipment purchases.
+ Handle vendor relationships related to ordering parts, buying equipment, billing/purchasing issues.
+ Issue, maintain, and track tool and equipment issued to field personnel.
+ Oversee the offloading of all equipment and tools being returned from jobs to the shop. Make sure they are accounted for and returned to inventory.
+ Maintain a master log of all tools and equipment and its location in the field.
+ Maintain and repair tools and equipment as needed.
+ Ensure that all tools and equipment that is returned to the yard has been inspected and ready for service.
+ Keep an inventory of tools and equipment that are in the Foreman trailers.
+ Conduct hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary action, and terminations of all shop employees.
+ Work closely with the Safety department regarding equipment safety programs and training.
+ Work with the Operations Manager to develop and modify new and better equipment for field crews.
+ Oversee all maintenance and repairs of welding machines, forklifts, bobcats, air compressors and any other mobile equipment.
+ Maintain on file, all maintenance and repair records.
+ Keep yard clean and organized.
+ Perform additional related responsibilities, as directed.
**Qualifications**
+ 5+ years’ related experience in a similar type shop facility.
+ Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
+ Working knowledge of all aspects of construction equipment, including technology and methods.
+ Working knowledge of various related disciplines, including cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, and engineering drawings for field equipment.
+ Ability to supervise the work of craft employees.
+ Strong communication skills, including both oral and written.
+ Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation.
+ Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive requests
+ Ability to be on-call 24/7.
