Location: Albany, NY Category: Facilities Posted On: Wed Feb 19 2025 Job Description: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Equipment learning and training, equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, facility related support, equipment testing, troubleshooting, and operation of manufacturing tools or tool clusters of a complex to highly complex nature inside and outside the fabs. + The Equipment Support Technician (EST) may also be involved in tool troubleshooting, and requalification. + EST will provide technical assistance to assist in keeping equipment running. + The EST will delegate work needed, document work done and plan upcoming work. + Minimal direction is required. + The EST learns then assesses operation of equipment, repairs, and services then communicates issues to affected parties. + Accuracy, quality and productivity are all required. + Other reasonable duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Minimum Requirements for Equipment Support Technician + This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of (4) years of experience working in a Semiconductor FAB and experience in equipment or mechanics. + OR an associate's degree in a relevant technical field from a college or university accredited by the USDOE or internationally recognized accrediting organization. + OR equivalent educational and professional experience and training associated in a highly technical/engineering environment. + Candidate must have good mechanical skills, excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft word and Excel, possess good written communication skills, be well organized with attention to detail, have the ability work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment as well as be available for overtime work. + Ability to learn new work and equipment as required. + Equipment, mechanical, and/or hardware experience is required. + Fab experience is required. + Working around facility exhaust, chemicals, Toxic Gas Systems and wearing PPE and safety equipment is required. + Being comfortable in a hazardous environment and working in tight quarters is required. + Evaluating safety before work is key to this position. + Candidates must conform to shift coverage requirements and can perform their assigned duties, which includes lifting or moving heavy objects at times over 50lbs. + This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.
