Your Role at Baxter

In this role, you will provide technical support on increasingly complex multifaceted assembly equipment. You will utilize strong analytical skills to perform real-time trouble shooting to resolve root causes and recommend actions.

This role requires a strong understanding of guidelines, blueprints, and/or diagrams of the equipment being used to manufacture our products; this is important to ensure that all the necessary product specifications are met and comply with the company’s standards, speed and high-quality product. Our manufacturing operations are around-the-clock to meet the needs of our customers. Our high-caliber talent, works through the challenges at hand, while pushing toward meeting the customers needs. Different shift assignments may be required.

What You'll Be Doing

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Diagnose and repair electrical problems, including repairing of components, equipment, and procedures

Perform tasks such as setup/teardown of production lines

Perform facilities maintenance related task on an as needed basis

Connect with internal customers to review & schedule work as necessary

Work directly with suppliers and contractors to support procurement of materials and services vital to support operations and maintenance activities

Provide input on PM methods, procedures, and inspection requirements for equipment, as well as preventative maintenance and assist with floor support.

Exchange information, resolve real time issues, and help address longer term problems with Engineering and Setup/Operators/Orbitors

Improve manufacturing processes and schedule to meet customer requirements

Support process analysis and decision-making on equipment maintenance and improvements.

Follow plant safety and sanitation requirements, ensuring all tasks are completed according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Collaborate on process improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and process mapping using Lean methodology.

Participate in cross-training opportunities to enhance technical skills

Document and communicate maintenance events clearly using SAP.

What You'll Bring

Associates degree in technical field or equivalent or High School diploma plus technical/trade certification with 5+ years’ experience working on automated equipment

Strong knowledge in electronics

Skilled in the use of hand and power tools

Computer Skills (MS Office).

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot and repair tools/equipment.

Strong attention to detail & accuracy.

Strong communication and ability to collaboratively with team members cross-functionally.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to work overtime as needed.

Shift may vary between 2nd & 3rd shift hours.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $60,000 to $82,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
