Job Description:
The Equipment Technician IV is primarily responsible for maintaining the Implant toolsets and related equipment at Microchip’s Tempe manufacturing facility. Additionally, the Equipment Technician IV is responsible for performing preventive maintenance procedures, troubleshooting and repairing unscheduled failures, assisting in completing engineering projects, and accurately communicating all maintenance activities.
This is for a CWW (compressed workweek) on the back-night (BN) shift, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and E/O Saturday, 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, 12-hour shifts with an 18% shift differential. Benefits begin on the first day of hire.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Possess an ASEE or ASET degree or Military Equivalent.Greater than five years of experience working in the semiconductor manufacturing Diffusion/Thin Films/CVD area. The candidate must have at least eight years of experience working on the Novellus platforms.Additionally, the ideal candidate will have greater than five years of experience working on at least 2 of the following platforms:SVG 7K/10K/AVP/RVPWJ 999R/1000Tempress FurnaceSkilled and experienced in mentorship and training of Technicians on the Diff/TF/CVD platforms.Understands and troubleshoots complex electronic/electro-mechanical circuitry and related components.Has the ability to demonstrate strong written/verbal communication skills.Must possess strong knowledge of electronic component operations.Understands the application and usage of various measurement tools (i.e., Oscilloscope, DVM, etc.)Possess a solid/strong mechanical aptitude.Must understand and be familiar with precision optics and mechanical assemblies (robotics).Experienced with and follows chemical safety procedures and protocols.Special Requirements:
