POSITION SUMMARY:
Marathon Petroleum Company LP has an opportunity for an Equipment Technician supporting Office Services at our San Antonio office. Office Services provides printing, mailing, delivery, and related services to Marathon Petroleum’s locations across the enterprise. Members of this team work together and with vendors to provide these services to internal customers. This includes operation of digital presses, oversight of local printers, extensive use of digital solutions, processing of materials and data, personal interaction with customers and vendors, data management, sorting, and cost control. These processes all require a high level of accuracy and efficiency as the team seeks to provide these services with the maximum level of professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Adhere to the company’s safety policies and work procedures.
+ Oversee printers in the building, ensuring toner supplies are optimized, and resolving minor maintenance issues such as paper jams, installing mech kits, and friction wheels.
+ Provide printer diagnostic support for more complex issues to be resolved by third party technical support.
+ Operate a digital press, wide format printer, bindery equipment, and other related equipment.
+ Must have an aptitude for software related to the print environment.
+ Receive and process incoming or outgoing parcels, office supplies, and freight orders.
+ Interface with clients throughout the company and external vendors to coordinate projects.
+ Use personal computer and/or software applications to verify contents of deliveries, place orders, track materials, monitor inventory levels and service customer requests.
+ Lift packages (up to 50 lbs.). This position also requires a high percentage of standing and walking throughout the day.
+ Train other employees in the component as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
+ Valid driver’s license required.
+ One (1) – Two (2) -4 years professional experience.
+ Travelling 1-2 weeks per year is possible.
+ Experience with MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, is preferred.
