Analyst/Associate, Equity Derivatives, Equity Capital Markets

The Mizuho equity capital markets team is seeking an Analyst or Associate candidate to join the successful convertible bond, corporate equity derivatives and margin lending businesses. The candidate would become an integral part of the team by supporting senior team members in addition to managing their own responsibilities. The candidate will have great autonomy and will therefore need to be pro-active, eager to take on responsibilities and must be performing at a high level.

Quantitative skills are important, but not critical. It would be beneficial for the candidate to have an understanding of derivatives and equity markets. Strong communication skills will be important as the candidate will need to efficiently coordinate with a wide range of internal and external teams during the deal execution processes.

Responsibilities include:

Prepare and participate in team pitches to companies and private equity sponsorsExecute a variety of equity-linked products such as derivatives, share repurchase programs and margin loansWork with internal and external counsel teams during negotiation and deal executionDevelop and manage relationships across a variety of teams at Mizuho including legal, risk, trading, and onboardingRun convertible bond and equity derivative pricing modelsQuantify market and credit risks and prepare memos for deal approval
