Equity Capital Markets Vice President (ECM VP)

The Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Investment Banking Vice President (VP) is a senior level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the equity capital markets, through IPO, Follow-on, Convertible, and Private placement offerings, in coordination with the Investment Banking team. In addition to capital raising exposure, responsibility will include advising and structuring non-capital raising strategic assignments, such as spin-offs and split-offs. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by facilitating capital formation in the equity market.


Responsibilities:

Assume significant levels of responsibility for the various phases of project and transaction execution, new business development and overall growth of the firmWork with senior-level team members (ECM, Corporate & Investment Banking, Risk, Legal, Operations) and external partners (Investors, External Counsel) to guide clients through the equity capital raising process and execution of a deal from launch to close Structure and pitch equity capital markets alternatives based on in-depth analysis of client’s existing financial instruments compared against recent market activityEvaluate company’s financial performance compared to overall industry and market trendsPrepare materials for pitches and live dealsResponsible for drafting in-depth economic and statistical analysis on market data such as deal volume, pricing and tenor to detect overall market and industry trends to create deliverables and discussion materials for client meetings Oversee work being performed by analysts and associates assigned to projects and transactionsAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

6-10 years of experienceExperience in the Financial Services industry, specifically within BankingDegree in Finance or closely related areas of Business AdministrationConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsExperience with large corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities productsSeries 7, 79 and 63 preferred
 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMBA or Master’s degree preferred
