We are seeking an engaged and innovative supervisor to lead the Equity in Grants team that will provide diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEAI) policy development and guidance, standards-setting, resources, training, and data collection and analysis to support grant management outcomes across all state grant-making agencies. This position will lead the Equity in Grants team by providing leadership and direction of: (i) the review, planning, management, oversight, and administration of grant policies; (ii) development and delivery of training and technical assistance to assist state agencies in complying with equity policies in their state-funded grant programs; (iii) identification and dissemination of DEAI in grant-making and administration best practices; (iv) data collection and analysis; and (v) designing and delivering outreach, training, and technical assistance to culturally-specific organizations and groups to increase their success in applying for state-funded grants. To promote a culture of flexibility, we offer staff a hybrid work environment. At present, the position will have the option to telework with expectations to work onsite a minimum of one (1) day a week in concert with the OGM team and on other occasions as requested by management to meet business needs. The hybrid arrangement and frequency of onsite work is subject to change. **Minimum Qualifications** The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position. + Four (4) years of professional experience in grant-making, grant administration, and/or grant evaluation. + Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory, project manager, or team lead position that includes assigning, coaching, training, and reporting on the work activities of others. + Proven ability to think strategically and creatively around Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion and translate DEAI principles into grant programs. + Demonstrated ability to work with a diversity of people and be sensitive to the cultures and needs of populations represented in Minnesota. + Experience facilitating meetings, making presentations, and contributing to conflict management/resolution. + Skilled in the use of various common PC tools, i.e., databases, spreadsheets, grants management systems, and word processors. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience as a grant administrator for a public sector entity, as a trainer or technical assistance provider to grant makers and grant recipients, and/or as a grant recipient’s project/grant manager. + Experience working with grantees of various sizes in terms of annual revenue and staff size, and by type of organization, e.g., nonprofit, for profit, local government, tribal government. + Two (2) or more years of experience as a supervisor of public sector employees, including experience with employee recruitment, training, coaching and performance management. + Experience building relationships and undertaking collaborative initiatives between the public sector and wider grants communities in Minnesota. + Experience working with culturally diverse groups and organizations in implementing government grants that produce desired impacts. **Additional Requirements** Successful applicants must pass a criminal background check through American Databank and employment reference checks prior to employment.
