Susquehanna has an opening for an Operations Analyst to join our brokerage operations team in support of our Equity Options Trading desk. In this role, you will support trading activity from execution by our traders through settlement, clearing, and post-trade analysis. This ensures that you will gain broad exposure across the operational activities on the desk including settlements, reconciliations, reporting, issue resolution, and variance analysis. Additionally, we will look to you to focus on continuous automation and process improvement through collaboration with both operations and technology team members. This will also include testing these activities prior to rollout across the desk. In carrying out these responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to interact daily with traders, peers, clients, and our clearing firms to ensure that issues are resolved and trades are settled and cleared within required timeframes.

In this role, you will:
Maintain and support operational activities related to equity, ETF, and options trading activity on the deskManage high volume of emails/calls per day from traders, clients, clearing firms, etc. to ensure prompt resolution of inquiries and issuesCoordinate with technology team members to drive, test and facilitate automation opportunities and/or process improvements on the deskLeverage tools such as Excel, VBA, SQL, and Access to improve reporting capabilities and increase the speed in which variances are resolvedActively liaise with team members and our Documentation Specialist to facilitate client account opening and onboarding ensuring processes are seamless Troubleshoot and problem solve issues that may arise with trading activity on the deskProvide support to both customers and sales traders as neededWhat we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree required; specialization in finance or a related discipline preferredPossession of SIE & Series 57, or the ability to obtain both licenses within four months of hire, requiredPrevious work, co-op, or internship experience in a trade support, or related, role required; prior experience supporting and/or with exposure to equity options trading strongly preferredDemonstrated and strong experience with Excel & Access required; experience with VBA, Python, and/or SQL preferredProven ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, meet deadlines, and work well under pressureMust possess excellent communication and time management skills Diligent and meticulous with strong attention to detail Must be able to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasksExperience with Euroclear, DTCC CTM and/or Alert, or other trading programs, a plusVisa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the future
