We’re looking for someone like that who can:

• serve as an equity sector strategist for the US Financials sector:
o recommend individual stocks that will generate outperformance, evaluate the sector in a portfolio context, focusing on high level sector dynamics, subsector positioning, and identify key sector themes
o present research views to colleagues, internal partners, financial advisors, and UBS Global Wealth Management clients in both written and verbal formats
• the sector strategist should possess a strong knowledge of the Financials sector and should be able to identify the critical drivers of sector-, sub-sector, and stock-level investment performance. The candidate should possess a verifiable, successful investment track record and demonstrate the ability and willingness to work in a team environment, collaborating across asset classes and geographies
• the sector strategist will work in conjunction with the equity strategy team to formulate their macro sector views relative the overall equity market
• the sector strategist will also work closely with colleagues in UBS Asset Management to assist in stock selection for a suite of separately managed accounts with $70 billion of assets under management.
• the sector strategist should be able to utilize their detailed industry knowledge to develop thematic investment ideas that may cut across sectors and asset classes. As such, a broad understanding of cross-sector and cross-asset class dynamics is desirable
• the successful sector strategist will have the ability to communicate complex investment concepts, in written and verbal format, in a way that is easy to understand and resonates with UBS Global Wealth Management clients

• New York: the salary range for this role is $207500 to $282500
