Job Title: ER PhlebotomistJob Description This phlebotomist will support the ER. Our staff use electronic handheld devices called TC51s that notify them when they have sticks. If the phlebotomist is in the ER, the flow board notifies them. The staff member can then scan the patient’s armband with the TC51 device, which prints the labels for them. - Perform at an advanced level in the collection and proper handling of venous and capillary specimens as appropriate. - Register patients, lab contracts, and specimens ensuring that all registration data is accurate and complete. - Prepare, check for accuracy, and implement charting of Laboratory, Pathology, and Imaging reports as needed.
