The DEQ Oracle eBusiness Suite Functional Analyst is responsible for the functionaldesign, configuration and support of the financial systems applications. Coreresponsibilities include day-to-day functional support to users of the Oracle eBusinesssuite of products including Financials, Purchasing, HR, Time and Labor, and Projects, gatheringand defining requirements, configuration of standard applications, gap analysis, useracceptance testing, functional design of application extensions, upgrades andmaintenance of financial applications. This analyst should have the ability to write and develop new reports in Oracle Discoverer and experience using Oracle BI Publisher.
SkillRequired / DesiredAmountof ExperienceSignificant experience using and supporting the Oracle eBusiness Suite (eBiz) of applications including Oracle Financials, Purchasing, Human ResourcesRequired Experience working with business users, dbas, developers, and Oracle Support to research, document, and resolve day to day issues.Required Significant experience using Oracle’s reporting tool, Discoverer. Possess an understanding of the of eBiz table structure (ERD)Required Understand how to research custom tables and programs and use this knowledge to research user issues and recommend programmatic changesRequired Develop an understanding of how eBiz interfaces work with the statewide systems (eVa, CIPPS, CARS, PMIS) and how to research and resolve issuesRequired Demonstrated ability understanding and applying financial theories and methodologies when developing user solutions and resolving user problems.Required Experience working with user community to develop standard and ad hoc reports using SQL queries.Required Experience creating, documenting and /or performing Release 12 functional testing scenarios.Required Knowledge of GASB accounting principles and practices.Required Strong oral and written communication skills neededRequired Experience creating business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional design documents, test plans and test cases,Required Ability to multi-task, take initiative in solving problems and work effectively with variety of people and work styles.Required
