Job Description

Supports and maintains applications and processes within the human resource technology portfolio. Serves as technical contact for assigned applications and functional areas. Ensures data integrity, conducts testing of system changes, and writes reports and data flow analyses to enable process improvement. Supports new system implementations, recurring human resources processes, HRIS/talent management system upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects.

Experience

2 years of progressive experience working with human resources systems2 years of experience with HRIS or talent management systemsExperience with project-related activities through active participation in system-related projectsExperience in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problemsExperience with reporting tools such as Crystal, Access, or Business ObjectsExperience with database tools

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in project managementExperience as a human resources generalist or specialistHRCI, IIBA, and/or PMI certificationExperience with SuccessFactors and Infor/LawsonProficient in Microsoft Project

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

Job Responsibilities

System Maintenance:

Maintains human resources systems and affiliated set up/configuration.Leads the review, testing, and implementation of system upgrades or patches for assigned systems and possibly others.Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix.

Production Support:

Supports assigned human resources systems, including researching, logging, and resolving issues/problems, unexpected results, or process flaws.Collaborates with internal and external technical resources.Performs scheduled activities, reports and audits.Recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.

Projects/Process Improvement:

Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, and policy changes.Utilizes technology as a lever to facilitate business process improvements for end users.Serves as liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g., payroll, benefits, compensation).Manages projects and annual process cycles.Develops detailed business requirements.Provides overall project management for assigned human resources initiative.Communicates solutions, successes, and opportunities to the Director, Human Resources Technology.

Reports/Queries:

Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of dashboards, reports, and/or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.Develops standard reports and ad-hoc reports to address customer needs.Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.

Training and Communication:

Develops user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.Coordinates training design and development for new system implementations.Trains new system users.Identifies opportunities to re-train or communicate processes that facilitate efficiencies and improve data integrity and user acceptance.
