Dow has a rewarding opportunity for an Executive Protection Manager in Midland, MI.

The Executive Protection Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of high-level executives, key personnel and company events. This position involves risk assessments, logistical planning, and close protection details in both domestic and international environments. The role demands a high level of professionalism, discretion, adaptability, and adherence to company policies and legal requirements. 

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal and external executive support staff, legal, aviation, and contract vendors to align protective efforts and strategiesAdvance, plan, and conduct executive protection assignments both domestically and internationally during public and private appearances, business travel and high-risk eventsConduct residential security reviews and implement technical security systemsEnsure comprehensive security coverage, demonstrating advance planning techniques and situational monitoringConduct assessments of site security programs, identifying gaps, and working on mitigation strategies to reduce riskAssist with the protection of key personnel, assets and information as threats escalate Support the planning and execution of security programs for customer and business events and executive protection assignmentsEstablish and maintain relationships with local, state, federal and other law enforcement agencies in order to ensure the timely flow of intelligence and threat information.Develop strategies and plans for implementation of new or updated security practices, processes, or requirementsAct as a first responder to incidents involving the safety of executives and key personnelCoordinate with internal security team members and local law enforcement and medical services during an emergency

Qualifications:

Must possess a Valid U.S. Driver's LicenseCandidate must be willing and able to work non-traditional work hours when necessary (including weekends and holidays)A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. 

Must meet one of the following:

A minimum of an associate degree or 3 years or more of relevant military training/experience AND 20+ years of relevant experience (executive protection, law enforcement, military or corporate security)A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant AND 6+ years of relevant experience (executive protection, law enforcement, military or corporate security)

Preferred Qualifications:

EMT, First aid, CPR, or other relevant medical qualifications

Communication: Effective communication is vital for collaborating with internal and external support staff, law enforcement, and other stakeholders. It includes both verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.

Leadership: This skill involves guiding and motivating a team to achieve their goals. It includes setting a positive example, providing direction, and ensuring that all team members are working together effectively.

Proactive Problem Solving: This skill is about identifying potential issues before they become problems and developing solutions to address them. It involves critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks.

Decision Making: This skill is crucial for making quick and effective decisions in high-pressure situations. It involves evaluating information, considering potential outcomes, and choosing the best course of action to ensure the safety and security of executives and key personnel.

Accountability: This skill involves taking responsibility for one's actions and ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard. It includes being reliable, trustworthy, and committed to achieving the best possible outcomes.

Strong knowledge of personal protection strategies, security systems, and communication technologyExcellent physical fitness and ability to work in high pressure and rapidly changing environmentsProficiency in defensive driving, tactical operations, and emergency responseAbility to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate impeccable ethical judgment
