Escalations Intake Specialist

Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated Escalations Intake Specialist for our Revenue Cycle Team. In this position you will be responsible for resolving escalation requests for the intake/referral.

Responsibilities

Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of escalation requests and resolution

Expert knowledge in insurance verification, payor guidelines, contract pricing, prior authorizations and PBM test claims

Reviews patient information in the appropriate system to verify root cause of issues and take corrective action steps to resolve

Obtains additional patient referral data from referral sources via phone or fax as needed

Resolve prior authorization issues or obtain prior authorizations as required

Contacts payer, or patient as appropriate

Completes verification or reverification of insurance coverage as needed

Edit or enter patient information into computer systems as needed

Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors

Perform clerical duties as requested

Performs other duties as assigned

Good verbal and written communication skills

Computer literate, with the ability to utilize standard software applications including Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

Requirements

HS diploma or GED required

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

Knowledge of medical terminology required

Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office Products required
