Position Overview:
Weekends Required
Transports patients safely and efficiently throughout the facility.Identifies patients by checking identity information and medical charts to ensure the correct patient is brought to the correct area.Communicates effectively to patient the purpose and method of transfer using transfer equipment.Self-tests transport equipment to ensure safe handling and safe function. Removes faulty or defective equipment from service.Utilizes the proper transfer techniques to ensure patient safety following CH guidelines and procedures.Assists with admission, transfer or discharge of patients.Seeks to improve the effectiveness of communication and interactions with others.Performs inventory supply assessment on a regular schedule. Assures items are placed in their correct location and rotates inventory to avoid expired or incorrect picks of supplies. Out of date supplies are removed from inventory.Observes patients carefully for significant changes as needed.Documents observations and activities of observed patients on appropriate records and documents.
