The Escrow Assistant will be assisting an individual or small team of escrow officers with all aspects of closing a commercial real estate deal. This includes the preparation of settlement statements, reviewing escrow instructions, adhering to local closing customs, confirming wire instructions, initiating wires, approving wires as needed, recording documents, and doing trial balance maintenance. They will also assist the Title Coordinators in the placement of title orders to the field and to the customer. In addition, they will work with underwriting staff and the Escrow Manager on closing and post-closing functions. This employee is responsible for assisting in the coordination and closing of commercial single-site transactions and multi-state refinance and sale transactions under the direct supervision of a Senior VP and Underwriting Counsel; Escrow Officers and Escrow Manager; for accounting and escrow functions; for answering inquiries from customers and staff on pending transactions; and for maximum levels of customer satisfaction in the providing of title and closing services.
