Tri Pointe Assurance Escrow is looking for an experienced individual to join our talented group as an Escrow Officer in our Corona, California office. Position Highlights: The Escrow Officer is responsible for establishing and overseeing efficient closing/settlement services, development of internal and external customer relationships. Processing escrow documents following established policies and procedures. Acts as a neutral third party between buyers and sellers during a real estate sale, managing funds, and processing real estate transactions. Position Responsibilities: Completes real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements; clearing titles; assembling, preparing, and reviewing closing documents. Determines escrow requirements by studying and clarifying buyer, seller, and lender instructions. Obtains clear title by ordering title reports; resolving title defects; satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals. Establishes escrow account by depositing funds; maintaining records. Prepares transaction documents by completing forms and statements; collecting and reviewing existing documents. Completes calculations by prorating taxes and interest. Completes closing transaction documents by assembling documents; reviewing papers with parties; explaining provisions and procedures; answering questions; checking documents for completeness and accuracy; obtaining signatures. Completes closing by recording and filing documents; preparing and distributing final closing statements and titles. Prepares Closing Disclosure or HUD by utilizing lender instructions; Closes escrow account by balancing all funds. Complies with regulatory requirements by adhering, and enforcing adherence, to requirements Position Qualifications: A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Must have a minimum of 2 years of industry experience performing escrow and title duties Notary required Ability to type 40+ WPM Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and title software applications. FAST preferred Specialize in RESPA with an understanding of the company's underwriting guidelines Understanding of title and settlement rules and regulations Effective communication, presentation, and organization skills Knowledge of real estate law and title escrow curative procedures Compensation & Benefits: Base Salary: The expected Base Salary range for this position is between $32.98-42.74 per hour, equivalent to $68,600-88,900 per year, depending on experience and skillset. Base Salary is paid bi-weekly, every other Friday. Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual performance-based cash bonus. Bonuses are earned, calculated, and paid in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Company’s applicable incentive plan document.
