Job Description
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a ESD Technician located in Austin, TX.
Reporting to the Quality Compliance Manager the ESD Technician, will be the responsible for maintaining the ESD Control Program for the administrative and technical requirements per ANSI/ESD S20.20 within the manufacturing operations at Flex.
1st Shift: 9:30am-6pm Monday-Friday
What a typical day looks like:
Perform ESD Product Qualifications and Compliance Verifications of theESD control items defined in the ESD Control Program per ANSI/ESD
S20.20 requirements.
Test and label ESD control items used in ESD Protected Areas (EPAs) as
defined in the ESD Control Plan.
Coordinate activities within the Manufacturing areas to comply with
ANSI.ESD S20/20 requirements.
Provides immediate feedback to production areas and personnel, concerning
ESD process deviations towards reinforcement of ESD
compliance.
Assist in the root cause analysis and corrective actions of ESD audits
findings, tracking to resolution.
Actively collect data, analyze results, and assist in the development and
implementation of process improvements within the ESD Control
Program per ANSI/ESD S20.20 requirements.
Pull and create reports as needed for upper management communication
and site dissemination.
Participate and/or facilitate New-Hires ESD training.
Conduct ESD and other tasks as needed and/or assigned per business
requirements.
Analyzes ESD test results, and actively collaborates and assists in the
troubleshooting of ESD control items to prevent manufacturing nonconformities.
Ensures accurate data collection and maintain ESD records.
Sets up and conducts ESD Qualification tests for manufacturing equipment
for equipment acceptance requirements.
Review and maintain ESD equipment-instruments operational manuals
for calibration requirements and technical specifications.
Keep the ESD equipment-instruments calibrated per the calibration
schedule.
Provide guidance on ESD requirements as needed.
Actively participate and assist during 3rd party ESD audits.
May be required to participate in CFT (Customer Focus Team)
meetings.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry
or equivalent experience and training.
Problem solving abilities including experience in a fast-paced manufacturing
business.
Good verbal and written communication skills, team player and
adaptability.
Ability to interface with operations and other departments on ESD activities
and compliance matters.
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:
ESD/ANSI S20.20 regulations and controls experience preferred.
High school diploma (minimum) or 2 - year associate or technical degree
preferred.
