Job Description:

   

The ESG Data Analyst is a critical member of the Living Progress team which is responsible for advancing the company’s environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) reputation with the key influencers and stakeholder groups that our customers and investors turn to. 

You will undertake critical analysis of HPE’s environmental performance to enable HPE to meet key environmental targets, including net-zero emissions by 2040. Through your work, you will be interfacing with other HPE organizations including business groups, operations, sales, and global real estate. You will support HPE’s ability to track key sustainability performance metrics to ensure HPE’s ESG performance is accurately communicated to internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Support and execute projects aligned with HPE’s climate and environment strategy.Calculate, analyze, Interpret, and improve HPE’s environmental data including GHG emissions, waste, water, and energy.Assist in the development of HPE’s Climate Transition Plan – ensuring decisions are made using the best possible data.  Develop and maintain detailed documentation, in partnership with key stakeholders, to enhance company-wide data management practices.   Identify opportunities and implement improvement plans related to data gaps, data quality, automation, auditability, and overall integrity.  Work closely with the ESG Reporting team to ensure timely and accurate disclosures of ESG related data.   Support business intelligence, team operations, and ad hoc data analysis projects as required.

Experience & Skills Required:

Relevant degree in environmental engineering, statistics, data science or similar with at least three years of experience. 3+ years of experience e managing and analyzing large datasets within Excel, Access, Power BI, or other data analytics and management software. Experience building or using new databases and developing new systems for data tracking and analysis.Experience with complex problem solving and analysis using statistical methods. Experience with process improvement and process management. Understanding of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, corporate greenhouse gas accounting, energy efficiency, and product carbon footprints is a plus.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $60,800.00 - $140,400.00
