**About The Role:**
As a CBRE ESG Process and Controls Associate Director, you will be part of the ESG Controllership Team responsible for developing, implementing, and managing ESG processes and controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of CBRE’s ESG data and reporting. This role will report directly to the Global ESG Controller and is working closely with various functional areas and business segments to establish robust ESG processes, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Develop and implement standardized, industry-leading, and regulatory compliant processes for ESG data collection, aggregation, validation, and reporting. Collaborate with various departments to integrate ESG processes into existing workflows.
+ Design and implement internal controls and risk, control matrix over ESG metrics to ensure the accuracy and reliability of ESG data.
+ Conduct regular reviews of ESG processes and controls. Identify and address any weaknesses or gaps in existing controls.
+ Continuously evaluate and improve ESG processes and controls. Implement best practices and innovative solutions for ESG process management.
+ Identify and assess risks related to ESG data and reporting. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management activities in a timely manner.
+ Provide guidance and training to the relevant stakeholders and employees on ESG compliance requirements and ESG process and controls.
+ Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback on ESG processes and controls.
+ Engage internal and external auditors to ensure the design and operation effectiveness of CBRE’s ESG processes and controls.
+ Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in ESG processes, controls, and risk management.
+ Ensure compliance with the ESG regulations standards and frameworks (e.g., CSRD, SEC, GRI, SASB, TCFD, and ISSB standards).
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
+ Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
+ Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
**What You'll Need:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Risk, Sustainability, or a relevant field; advanced degree preferred. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ 8+ years of relevant experience with process and controls management and regulatory ESG and/or financial reporting processes, in a large global company or similar experience with global accounting/consulting firms.
+ Thorough understanding of process and controls, ESG reporting regulatory requirements, and COSO frameworks.
+ Extensive experience of building and implementing Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) or experience in conducting integrated ICFR audits.
+ Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, and handle problems.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
+ Proven experience in project management with diverse stakeholders is preferred.
+ Ability to understand and explain complex issues or concepts to others within the organization.
+ Ability to manage priorities and critical deadlines with minimal direction.
+ Self-motivated and strong work ethic.
+ Ability to interface with all levels of the organization to collect information and drive resolution.
+ Must be detail-oriented, have a proactive approach and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
+ Strong writing and communication skills.
+ Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), risk management, project management certification or equivalent preferred.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $180,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
