ESG/Sustainability Program Summer Intern

Hexcel is currently seeking an ESG/Sustainability Program Summer Intern for our Stamford, CT, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Assist members of Hexcel’s Legal department and EHS team to prepare for ESG and Sustainability regulatory compliance and reporting (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CS3D), including research, benchmarking and presentation preparation.

Help drive continuous improvement of Hexcel’s ESG scores (ISS, MSCI, CDP, EcoVadis) and support reporting alignment to key sustainability frameworks (TCFD, GRI, SASB).

Support Legal department to develop, distribute and track key compliance and other training initiatives, including for Hexcel’s Code of Conduct.

Assist plant EHS and commercial managers to compile answers to customer questionnaires relating to Hexcel’s greenhouse gas emissions and other sustainability goals and practices.

Support the implementation of the company’s programs and projects relating to greenhouse gas emissions reduction, waste reduction and control of fresh water use in Hexcel plants to foster achievement of its Sustainability Goals.

Assist members of Hexcel’s Sustainability Strategy Team to build and roll out a Sustainability Dashboard to track progress on all goals.

Work with the Sourcing team to enhance Hexcel’s sustainable procurement practices and collect data on supplier ESG and Sustainability practices.

Qualifications:

College junior, senior or masters level student in Environmental or Sustainability or related degree program from an accredited college or university.

Demonstrated skill managing and prioritizing work with minimal hands-on direction.

Ability to quickly build relationships and effectively work as a team member.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Current computer literacy including Microsoft Office products; PowerPoint proficiency a must.
