Main responsibilities Contribute to development of health, safety and environment strategy in line with business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policiesDraft plans and ensure implementation of health, safety and environment operational plans, measures and budgets to achieve defined resultsOrganize and ensure delivery of large projects and initiatives to improve organization’s environmental and safety performanceLay down standards, practices and tools to achieve the desired standards of health and safetyensure consistent and thorough implementation of health and safety frameworks and standards, ensuring compliance and adherence to internal and external safety standards, and relevant regulationsDesign policies and ensure identification and mitigation of potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices and working conditions within the workplace and external environmentsRecommend solutions for the transportation of hazardous material with an understanding of the risks and compliance issuesDefine and ensure adherence to adequate emergency evacuation procedures and trainingCoordinate orientation activities and daily inspections in the operations facilities, grounds and administrative areas, changes in lay-out and installation of new equipment in order to meet safety rules and standardsSchedule and ensure execution of audits, investigations and studies to ensure that organizational and government standards, and local laws on health, safety and industrial hygiene are metShare advice and training on safety protocols and promoting safety-conscious work performanceBuild relationships with the community, environmental groups and law enforcement bodies to enhance environmental performance of the organizationStudy issues, determine opportunities and introduce best practices for health, safety and environment focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiencyStakeholders & Differentiator:Influence others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and proceduresDevelop strong, trusting relationships with business leaders across DHLCooperate with and coordinate 3rd parties e.g. external service providersAdvise customers and key stakeholders on processes, systems and toolsResponsible for policy and strategy implementation and short-term results Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex

Requirements: Bachelor degreeFluent in English Health, safety and environment experience Previous experience in risk managementWork location: São Paulo - SP (Santo Amaro/On site)
