Job Title: Estimating Manager
Location: Remote: meet with Team in Spartanburg, SC office once a month

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Estimating Manager to oversee and manage project estimates for new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the service industry in a construction-related role, strong bidding experience, and a deep understanding of heavy machinery moving and installation services. This role involves travel to client sites to assess project requirements and ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the estimating process for all new projects, ensuring accurate, competitive, and profitable bids. Collaborate with clients, project managers, and sales teams to gather detailed project requirements. Conduct site visits to assess project scope, conditions, and any potential challenges. Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Prepare and present proposals and bids to leadership and clients. Monitor market trends and costs to ensure competitive pricing. Refine and improve estimating processes and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy. Maintain and update historical cost databases to improve future estimates. Ensure all estimates comply with company policies, safety standards, and client expectations.

Qualifications:

Strong experience in a service-oriented, construction-related role, preferably in heavy machinery moving and installation. Proven track record in estimating and bidding processes. Familiarity with project management principles and construction methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and clients. Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in heavy industry, engineering services, or similar fields. Understanding of logistical challenges associated with heavy machinery moving and installation.
