Position Summary:
Taylor Corporation is looking for an experienced Estimating Rep to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of quotes and pricing requests from Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing. You will also work with pricing programs aligned with product strategy and revenue recognition requirements using pricing databases, costing models, and sales quote tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare price quotations, cost estimates, and work completion estimates for new and ongoing projects.

Gather necessary information from various departments to ensure accurate pricing.

Calculate costs for raw materials, purchased equipment, subcontracted work, and labor, incorporating profit margins and commission rates as needed.

Utilize knowledge of products, manufacturing processes, production rates, and material costs to generate precise estimates.

Assist in developing pricing standards and maintaining pricing databases.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in estimating, pricing, or a related field.

Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.

High school diploma or higher education required.

Ability to adapt procedures and techniques to different products, accounts, or business segments.

Experience working with complex pricing models and non-standardized formulas.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and provide guidance to others.

May lead, train, or oversee junior team members.

High-level help desk knowledge and quick turnaround capability required.

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $24 – $28. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
