We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in evaluating project costs, providing accurate quotes to customers, and overseeing the production process from inception to completion. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between our facilities in Colorado and Colombia, ensuring seamless communication and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities Quote Evaluation: Evaluate customer quotes, assessing the cost of burning or laser time, material allocation and expenses, and other relevant factors to provide detailed estimates to the sales department.Project Coordination: Coordinate with sales to deliver finalized quotes to customers. Upon receiving orders, take charge of programming, material allocation, and machine scheduling to ensure timely project completion.International Liaison: Act as the main point of contact between our operations in Colorado and Colombia. Facilitate communication, manage relationships, and oversee the outputs of the Colombian team, including cost estimation, processing time assessment, and machine programming.CAD/CAM Expertise: Utilize CAD/CAM software to interpret customer-supplied drawings or create parts from concept to design. Proficiency in Autocad, Tekla, CAMWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam, or similar programs is highly desired.Technical Competencies: Read and comprehend intricate prints, understand steel manufacturing, and work with various drawing file formats. Familiarity with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) is essential.Administrative Skills: Maintain organized records, perform data entry tasks, and utilize Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiently to support project documentation and reporting requirements.
