Estimator
Description: + Review incoming bid solicitations for relevancy and fit + Maintain an updated bid schedule. + Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. + Assist in preparation of preliminary schedules as necessary for estimates. + Prepare detailed takeoffs. + Consult with clients, subcontractors, vendors, or other individuals to develop a complete scope of work and estimate. + Work with engineers to develop bid designs for delegated design scopes. + Obtain knowledge of project and appropriate regulations required to construct the project. + Review and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy and completeness. + Utilize and maintain historical data in preparation of bids. + Monitor client changes and advise the estimating team of all changes in scope during the estimate period. + Follow awarded contracts as assigned – may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits. + Work with the project management team on final buyout of materials and subcontractors. + Prepare turnover packages for awarded projects for project management team. + Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current/accurate information on prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
