Job Description

This person will be responsible for estimating projects of various sizes and types within the industrial, office, education, and healthcare industries. Project sizes range from $10,000 up to $20 million. This person will largely support the design/build manager by providing estimates for schematic, design development and permit level drawings. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:      

Provide accurate budgets for projects in the conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documents level of a project design.Provide hard bid, competitive estimating for plan and spec projects.Assist service department with estimates on smaller projects with line-item budgetsProvide value engineering analysisBe able to handle multiple estimates at one time.Present estimates and budgets to customers, providing backup documentation as neededWork with designers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal associates as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a construction related field preferred3-5 years of construction estimating experience.

Initially this person will be hired on as a Full-Time W-2 employee of Actalent where you would receive an hourly wage, pto, holiday pay, Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision insurance), and 401k. After being an employee of Actalent for 12 -months, this person will be eligible to transition to the Construction firm as a direct employee.
