We subscribe to the mission of “empowering our people to impact communities by bringing clients’ visions to life,” so if this speaks to you, let’s connect!Roles & Responsibilities:Perform and review quantity take-offs for the purpose of estimating commercial projectsEstablish and maintain a comprehensive base of qualified subcontractors, material suppliers and appropriate trades personnelPrequalify subcontractors based on ability and interest in bidding potential jobs.Prepare subcontractor list and ITP for plan dispersion. Respond to subcontractor inquiries and follow-up on outstanding bids.Compare subcontractor bids and review quantities and take-offsParticipate in the pricing and bidding of construction projects, including price alternative opportunitiesOrganize bids, estimates and prepare proposal accordingly for managerial reviewParticipate in hard bid/estimating and GMP budgeting by evaluating bids and organizing this information.Prepare and respond to RFI's from architect, engineers and ownerUpon award of project, collaborate with Project Manager, Purchasing Agent and other key stakeholders for knowledge transfer for project turnoverCommunicate with architects and consultants to clarify scope of work, materials and schedule requirements.Travel to pre-bid walkthrough to investigate site conditions and meet with clients.Candidate Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience5-10 years of estimating experience with commercial and light industrial projectsAbility to read and interpret drawings and specificationsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and estimating softwareAbility to utilize math and analytical skills with attention to detailStrong collaboration and communication skillsAbility to travel approximately 15%Benefits and Perks Include:Paid Time Off – Credited to You 100% UpfrontPaid HolidaysMedical / Dental / Vision Coverage including High Deductible Health Plan401K with a Company MatchPaid Time Off for Community Team Service EventsShort-Term / Long-Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Maternity / Paternity LeaveEmployee events such as lunches and outings to foster a positive work environmentWe develop and inspire our Estimators through training and coaching on the job.
